Economic development, environmental protection and public health goals align for an $8.4 million expansion

2020 has been a year, there’s no doubt. It hasn’t, however, slowed down our vision of being laser-focused on your resources, communities, and the Earth. Late this summer we announced partnerships with state and local leadership on a strategic path forward that will have widespread impact. Here are the sound bites of what we have in development:

A financial jumpstart

  • Recently, the state of New Mexico awarded LaSen with a $750,000 Local Economic Development Act grant. The city of Las Cruces also offered another $400,000 in LEDA funding.

"I'm thrilled about the expansion of this cutting-edge company in Las Cruces. It will bring even more highly skilled, high-tech jobs to New Mexico," —Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham

New facility, new jobs

  • The $8.4 million expansion, will include the construction of a new 37,000 square-foot facility at the Pioneer Industrial Park in Las Cruces. We’re creating around 80 jobs, demonstrating that strong and evenly applied methane rules can drive the local economy. We’re especially excited for our new drone program which is expected to be a high growth area. For every drone purchased, four employees need to be hired to operate it. We’ll move into the new facility in the summer of 2021

Widespread impact

  • New Mexico expects our expansion will have a statewide economic impact of $463 million over the next decade. We’re grateful for the investment in LaSen’s future, which will affect millions of people in the southwest and worldwide as we expand our reach globally.
